Schools
The Quest builds on the work done by ICAC and represents leading schools in India, working closely with them to promote educational and cultural exchange. From facilitating participation of students in international student camps, language workshops, summer schools, science symposia, leadership trainings to home stays, skiing courses and exposure to low impact lifestyle and back-to-nature programmes, the emphasis is on creating itineraries that encompass a range of experiences that are unique to the country in question.

With a rich amalgam of interactions, conversations, dialogues, sharings and interactive exercises bridges are built and synergies created for learnings that can last a lifetime. For principals and teachers, there are special training sessions that build skill-sets and enhance exposure levels. Efforts are also made to facilitate the signing of Cooperation Agreements and MoUs between schools fostering greater opportunity for exchange, collaboration and partnership.

We have had the good fortune of being the India representative for prestigious international student camps such as the Beijing International Education Exchange (BIEE) in China and the Sakura Science Exchange programme in Japan. Some of the schools that have participated in the different programmes to China and Japan include The Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi, Shiv Nadar School, Noida, Strawberry Fields High School, Chandigarh, Springdales, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi, Salwan Public School, New Delhi. Apart from these international government supported programmes, we organise Study Tours to China, Japan, Israel and UK providing students from Grade VI to XII an in-depth exposure into the academic, social, cultural and working environment of the chosen countries. Through school camps and lectures, workshops, factory visits, home and farm visits, local sightseeing, food tasting and other artistic and cultural activities students are engaged in a series of games, competitions, projects and other solitary and interactive activities that enhance their understanding of the country they are visiting and also hone their life skills as they mingle with one another and with the host country’s students, soaking in the different experiences that are planned as part of their trip.

A new series of Study Tours have been planned within India, with the first one being on Water Conservation. Over two days, students are taken to wildlife sanctuaries, pond rejuvenation sites, waste recycling units, industries that are highly polluting but which have installed adequate mechanisms to neutralise pollutants from discharging into the ground water supplies and visiting a model farm where a complete zero-to-waste model is being implemented. Similar 2-day programmes have been planned to cover the theme of gender empowerment and girl child education, public health, sanitation and zoonoses amongst others.

Universities
The Quest takes forward the agenda set by ICAC, working with students, research scholars, professors, directors, deans, education secretaries and ministers to energise the education scenario not just in the participating institution but in the state as a whole. Exposure visits allow Heads of institutions to forge linkages and ties with international universities, exploring opportunities for faculty and student exchange, teacher trainings, lectures and seminars, presentation of papers to seeking information around pursuing higher studies, undertaking joint/collaborative research projects, internships, summer jobs and others.

The visits throw open new vistas of learning through guided tours of campuses and discussions, meetings and exchanges with HoDs to see how lessons are imparted, exams held and students prepared for the job market. Our company facilitates participation in international symposia, student camps, study fairs and exhibitions and other specialised workshops for both students and faculty members. On request, schedules are planned and finalised for visiting international faculty, across Indian cities, covering Universities of interest.

Some of the visiting universities have successfully collaborated with Chinese and Japanese universities to set up language labs, inviting faculty members for lectures and trainings and signing joint research projects between Ph.D scholars and more. Senior faculty members representing more than 100 universities across India have taken part in the many Study Tours that have been organised so far. Many of the visiting professors, especially those from the far-flung Northeast states have gone back and held awareness seminars in their universities sharing learnings from the study tours. They have written newspaper articles, brought out books and travelogues and put up photography exhibitions based on their rich and eclectic experiences.

A new initiative includes tying up with local universities, think tanks, management gurus and sociologists to carve out intensive short duration programmes that include certificate courses on leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship and management. These would include lectures from professors of leading universities and will be combined with industry interactions, factory visits, networking opportunities for jobs and specialised trainings.

We are also ready to work with companies to plan their offsites which include an educational and cultural component, adding value to their trips. We also facilitate participation of companies in trade fairs and exhibitions through strategic tie-ups and partnerships.
